Meeting with the Priest or Minister

Meet with the priest or minister early in the process. Your priest or minister may have special requirements for you to complete before your ceremony. You may be required to attend religious classes or special preparation classes in which you are asked to complete exercises assigned by the priest or minister.

When you meet with the minister or priest you will also be told what to expect in the ceremony and what assignments you will have during the ceremony and parts you will need to ask friends and family to help with such as readings from the Bible.

The priest or minister can also help you select appropriate music or readings that will personalize your ceremony.
