The Court of Honor

Your honor court may consist of 14 damas and 14 chambelanes if it is traditional. More and more girls are choosing 7 of each. The court consists of 14 damas and chambelanes or 14 couples so that one can represent each year of the quinceanera's life. You will also select an honor escort or chambelan de honor.

Some quinceaneras are choosing to drop the damas all together and are using chambelanes only. Others are using any other number of court members and find that it works fine that way.

Your honor court should know exactly what kind of commitment you expect from them when you first ask them to participate. This means they should have an anticipated cost of vestidos and time commitment for dance rehearsal.
