Flowers for Your Quinceanera Reception
Flowers are a simple yet stunning way to decorate both the church and the reception hall. Use flowers liberally. The best way to save money on flowers is to use flowers that grow in your area and use them when they are in season.
If you have a garden or know someone with a lovely garden, why not use some home-grown flowers or greenery to expand the floral arrangements you purchase and save yourself some money. I have some good information about making your own arrangements and adding to your floral arrangements on my resource page.
When selecting flowers to use in your decorating scheme, you'll also want to consider your colors and your theme. Bright red and pink hibiscus look perfect at a luau theme. Use potted varieties as table centerpieces and allow guests to take them home as favors. That way you'll kill two birds with one stone and save money, too.
Don't overlook wholesale clubs and local grocers as sources for flowers. If you have a local farmers' market, check it out for fresh flowers as well. Take a floral arranging class or buy a book and see if you can't do some of the flowers yourself. Some types of arrangements are rather forgiving and don't need much work at all.
